MSLU Holds a Meet-the-Artist Event with Turkish Author Mehmet Hakki Yazici
On September 28 as part of the "Translation Environment" project the University held a meet-the artist event with Turkish writer Mehmet Hakkı Yazıcı. The event was sponsored by the Center for Turkish Language and Culture and the Research Laboratory for Comparative Literature and Artistic Anthropology (LitVedLab).
MSLU at the VII Congress of Interpreters
Moscow’s International Book Fair became a venue for the first Moscow session of the Congress of Interpreters. As always, the Moscow School of Interpreters was heavily represented at the Congress.

Andrei Dzhunkovsky, head of the Department of Applied and Experimental Linguistics, and Aleksandra Melina, a postgraduate student of the Department, took part in the Model UN, organized by Best Diplomats in Istanbul.
‘Russia-Serbia’ Young Interpreter School Over
In Moscow a large-scale project called ‘Russia-Serbia School of Young Translators’ has come to a close. The project was organized by the Rudomino All-Russian State Library of Foreign Literature with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The project was co-sponsored by the Translation and Interpreting Department of the Moscow State Linguistic University.
Сooperation Agreement Signed with the UN Association of Russia
On September 7, 2022, the UN Association of Russia and the Moscow State Linguistic University signed a cooperation agreement meant to achieve sustainable development goals, as well as to support education until 2030 on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The Brazilian Ambassador to Russia visited MSLU
On July 8, Brazilian ambassador to Russia Rodrigo de Lima Baena Soares met the rector of MSLU Irina Kraeva at the university. The meeting was also attended by the Second Secretary, Head of the Department of Science, Technology, Innovation and Environment Andre Joao Ripple and assistant to the Department of Science, Technology, Innovation and Environment, the Master’s graduate of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting Natalia Armash.
European Centre for Peace and Development – new partner of MSLU
On July 5 the rector of MSLU Irina Kraeva signed an agreement with the university’s new partner – the European Centre for Peace and Development (ECPD), the headquarters of which are situated in the Serbian capital, Belgrade. The European Centre for Peace and Development is part of the UN Peace University, the official structure for this international organization.

MSLU student Mikhail Shapovalov - World Streetlifting Champion
On June 25-26 the World Street-Lifting Championship was held in Uralsk, Kazakhstan and Harderwijk, the Netherlands. Following the results of the championship, Mikhail Shapovalov, a student of English Language Faculty, won the first place and became the world champion.
