MSLU held its annual international academic conference on ‘Armenology in the Context of Languages and Cultures’ on April 18-19.
The conference brought together scholars, professors, lecturers, faculty members from other universities, heads of further professional education institutions, doctoral and post-graduate students, as well as representatives of international organizations and NGOs. The attendees had a brief and lively exchange of views on Armenian studies and identified key issues related to different aspects of Armenian language instruction and study. The speakers included those not only from Russia and Armenia, but also from Argentina and China.
The event turned out to be a truly interesting and educating one. The participants gained better insights into the culture of the target language and learned a lot about linguistics, literature and history. They also raised important questions of Russian-Armenian relations.
