On November 14, at the online meeting Alexander Matsegora, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to the DPRK, greeted our rector Irina Kraeva, Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Internationalization Irina Shokina, Dean of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting Ekaterina Pokholkova, Head of the Department of Oriental Languages Tatyana Mozol, as well as professors of the Korean language and students of MSLU.
The Ambassador and the MSLU representatives discussed topical issues, including bilateral teacher exchanges between the Russian Federation and the DPRK, and the possibilities of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in liew of coronavirus restrictions in force in the DPRK. He also shared his views on life and work in the DPRK, spoke about the cultural characteristics of the country, the differences between the two versions of the Korean language, and the work of the embassy. MSLU students and teachers, in turn, had the opportunity to ask their questions.
Mr. Ambassador noted that many MSLU graduates worked and are working at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the DPRK, and wished the current students success in their studies. The representatives of the university expressed their hope for further fruitful cooperation.
