Programme Overview

Our 4-year Bachelor programme is designed to help you obtain a strong foundation in psychology with a specific focus on counselling psychology. As people become more aware of the importance of mental health and psychological services, the demand for clinical and counselling psychologists is expected to grow. This qualification develops your skills in four main areas: research, clinical assessment & diagnosis, remedial education\therapy, and counselling. On completion of the programme, you will be able to provide a comprehensive variety of services, including rehabilitation counselling, family counselling, parenting counselling, employment counselling. The programme allows you to combine your major with two modern languages (English & FL2). At the end of your studies you will give a viva presentation of your graduation research paper (Bachelor’s Thesis).

What You Will Study

Teaching is provided through lectures, classes or seminars. It also includes counselling skills practice and research practicals. You will learn through tackling realistic problems. The following subjects are indicative of what you will study on this course.

Upon graduation, you can either continue your studies to get a Master’s Degree or go out to work and apply the skills acquired in a wide range of occupational areas, including education or training, health and social work and in areas of industry including human resources management.
